Taylor Swift is leading the pack of finalists for the 2023 Billboard Music Awards with a whopping 20 nominations.

The awards ceremony, presented by Marriott Bonvoy, is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 19, Billboard announced. Swift, who already holds the record for the most wins by a female artist in BBMA history with 29 awards, could potentially surpass Drake as the all-time leader if she wins more accolades this year. Drake is a finalist in 14 categories and previously won 34 BBMAs.

The other top finalists include Morgan Wallen and SZA, with 17 nominations each, followed by The Weeknd (16), Drake and Zach Bryan (14 each). Luke Combs has 10 nominations, and 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé and Rema each received nine or more nominations.

The 2023 BBMAs are set to offer a unique awards show experience, featuring music and exclusive content, such as winner celebrations, behind-the-scenes moments and performances by leading artists.

The BBMAs will collaborate with Spotify Technology SA's "Fans First" to bring fans closer to their favorite artists. The event will be broadcast across various platforms, including BBMAs social channels and BBMAs.watch.

The BBMAs have introduced new categories, including those for the burgeoning K-pop and Afrobeats genres. Additionally, Billboard is adding awards for top Hot 100 songwriter, top Hot 100 producer and top rock duo/group.

Some of the all-time BBMA winners who are finalists this year include The Weeknd, Beyoncé, and Bad Bunny. Whitney Houston, who won 16 BBMAs during her career, is a finalist in the top gospel album category.

The winners of the BBMAs are determined based on performance metrics on the year-end Billboard charts, making the BBMAs unique among music award shows. The eligibility dates for this year's awards align with the year-end charts tracking period from Nov. 19, 2022, to Oct. 21, 2023.
