The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will start accepting applications for micro-business licenses for medical or adult-use cannabis earlier than expected.
The application window for the first round of licenses will be open from July 27 to Aug. 10. A total of 48 micro-business licenses to be issued.
The lottery process will issue six licenses in each of Missouri's eight congressional districts, with two being for dispensaries and four for wholesale facilities.
There are two types of licenses: dispensary and wholesale.
- A micro-business dispensary facility is licensed to engage in the process of dispensing marijuana products for medical or adult use.
- A micro-business wholesale facility is licensed to engage in the process of cultivating and/or manufacturing marijuana products for medical or adult use.
