Elon Musk's Father Denies Berating Him After Being Attacked In School: 'I Was Shocked By The Incident'

Elon Musk‘s father and the Tesla Inc. CEO are presenting different accounts about Errol Musk’s response to a school attack that hospitalized the younger Musk, as reported by Business Insider.

Walter Isaacson’s recent biography of Elon Musk details a brutal attack that occurred when he was a student. According to Isaacson, Elon Musk had an altercation with another student, which resulted in the student and his friends assaulting him, causing him severe injuries. Elon Musk and his brother, Kimbal Musk, claim that their father berated Elon after the incident.

Errol Musk, however, disputes this account.

“No, I did not berate Elon,” he said via email.

“Elon was in the hospital for a few days. It was not possible to do that nor would I have done that. I was shocked by the incident,” he said.

According to Isaacson, following the attack, Errol Musk moved Elon Musk from a public school to Pretoria Boys High School, a private academy. He added that he bought a new house in another city for the purpose.
