American Express, Trade Desk And More: CNBC's 'Final Trades'

American Express Company AXP has “above market growth for below market multiple,” Amy Raskin of Chevy Chase Trust said on CNBC's “Halftime Report Final Trades.”

On May 7, American Express recently declared a dividend on Series D Preferred Stock and regular quarterly dividend.

On April 19, the New York-based company's first-quarter revenue (net of interest expense) grew 11% year-on-year to $15.80 billion, marginally beating the consensus of $15.79 billion. EPS of $3.33 beat the consensus of $2.95.

Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners named U.S. 2 Year Treasury, saying it's just time not to take bets.

Brian Belski of BMO Capital Markets picked The Trade Desk, Inc. TTD, saying "online and audio advertising, it’s a new position for us."

On May 8, Trade Desk posted better-than-expected first-quarter financial results. The company reported quarterly earnings of 26 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 21 cents by 23.81%. Quarterly sales came in at $491.25 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $480.31 million.

Joe Terranova of Virtus Investment Partners named SPDR S&P Biotech ETF XBI as his final trade.

Price Action:

  • Trade Desk shares rose 0.4% to close at $93.11 on Monday.
  • American Express shares fell 1.3% to close at $ 236.88 during Monday's session.
  • SPDR S&P Biotech ETF gained 2.6% during Monday's session.
